Password Length

You can use the Password Length option to change the minimum length of the password for iManage Share user accounts.

  1. Select the images/download/thumbnails/1638717/Blue-Down_Arrow.png icon next to your name at the top.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. On the Company Profile tab, select Edit next to Settings at the bottom.
    The Settings tab is displayed.

  4. Clear the 12 characters check box, under Password Length tab.
    The Minimum Length option is displayed where you can change the length of the user password.

  5. Select Save.

The changes are saved and the new length criteria for the password is applied to all the user accounts.

NOTE:

By default, the length of the user password is 12 characters. The password length requirement for a user account is derived from the following factors:

  • THEIR library: if the user is a member of an iManage Share library.

  • NEUTRAL library: if the user is a member of a library where the password length is currently set to 12 characters.
